In July 2018 we have applied for the contributory visa subclass 143, hoping this would be approved within a 2 years timeframe!
Our daughter has studied in Melbourne and is happily married. We have a 7-month-old granddaughter.
The parents and siblings of my wife are all residents of Victoria.
We are now in the early retirement phase and like to spend quality time with the family, also supporting them to raise a child while they can work and support the Australian economy.
Seeing the latest forecast by when a 143 Visa approval might happen, 8 to 10 years from now, additionally considering the extremely high visa fee, and not being with your loved ones for a very long period of time is extremely painful. Probably it will only happen when we are very old and not able to help them anymore.
This is very inhuman!
I wish the quota and approval process will be improved
many Thanks
best Regards
