My daughter called me with the most exciting news. She is expecting her first child. Bittersweet, I will still be in South Africa on the waiting list with no time in site. I’ll miss the most important day of her life and miss out on being a granny, this will be my first grandchild. Not to mention the heartache of knowing that I will miss all the milestones.
I have missed out on so much already. The time I can never get back.
