But in the last 45 months, other than being given a queue date, there has been no communication from their end.

I applied for the visa143 for my parents in July 2018 when my mum told me that she hoped both of them could spend some of their old age with me, my husband and my son before their life ends. I started the process to apply for their visa 143 the same evening and within a week, we applied and got the acknowledgement for receipt of the application. In the letter received, it was mentioned that within a maximum of 48 months they should get their PR if all documentation is provided and accurate. So, I was excited and hoped their PR would be given by June this year.

We need clarity of the process of granting visas and a feasible date when it will be done.
