Considering the ridiculous waiting period in spite of the staggering visa fees, I am seriously contemplating moving back to India, or to another country like Canada. The contributory parent visa waiting time has disheartened our family to the point of depression. My son and daughter will have a lot more time to run their businesses more successful. We will bring with us our pensions and savings from a lifetime of working (which will be spent in the Australian economy). I feel guilty every day thinking about them and how I am not able to look after them. My children are growing up and they are missing out on a richer relationship with their grandmother. It is seriously impacting my mental health. This would mean my sister can go back to her job much sooner. I have missed out on so much already. The time I can never get back. My husband and I are reaching the stage where we are seriously considering leaving Australia for good We would like to be able to support our daughter raising a child while she can work and support the Australian economy.
